Janeous will increase the quality and number of effective interviews that companies can perform by providing a fully integrated talent identification system which leverages the network effect and multiple algorithms to reduce the time spent interviewing candidates.
As an HR professional, what would you say is your biggest problem/sticking point in the talent identification process (identification of need until candidate face-to-face meeting)?
The idea for Janeous came in 2010 as our founder was transitioning out of the U.S. Air Force and attended a career conference that allowed him to have 17 full interviews over the course of two days. He really liked the concept of multiple back to back interviews, but the length needed to be shortened and it needed to be online. However, it wasn’t until recently that the technology became viable enough to truly globalize this method of talent identification. The idea stayed with him for many years, and once the technology was there, he quit his job and started to build Janeous.
The Janeous name come from a combination of his grandmother’s name, Jane – who was a sweet and brilliant woman with whom he wished he had got to spend more time before she passed away from Parkinson’s disease, and the greek god of transistions, Janus – who is often represented with two faces.
We hope the next chapter of Janeous includes you.
